About TTC

Coaching since 1987. At Vidyodaya since 2013.

TTC logo: a blue racket and a yellow ball, Chennai, established 1987

T Parthasarathy founded the Tennis Training Centre in 1987, and since 2013 the academy has made its home on the clay at Vidyodaya in T Nagar. It is still a family academy: the founder is on court at eighty-two, and his son Bharath runs it.

We play on clay, which is slower and kinder to growing bodies than hard courts, and which rewards patience, footwork and building a point. Three courts sit in the centre of the city, close enough to fit a session before school or after work.

We coach children from their first racket and adults at every level, in group batches or one-to-one, and we run tournaments, flights and friendlies through the year so that what is learned in practice gets tested in a match.
